Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting
Digital terrestrial broadcasting was launched in December 1, 2003 in some areas of Kanto, Chukyo, and Kinki. In Sanda area, the broadcasting started in March 3, 2007 from Nishinomiya-Yamaguchi Station.
Existing analog television broadcasting is expected to cease transmission and switched to terrestrial digital broadcasting by July 24, 2011. One of the following preparations is necessary at each family.
How to Receive Terrestrial Digital TV Broadcasting
(1) Purchase a digital TV compatible television
(2) Purchase a digital tuner
(3) Receive digital broadcasting via a compatible cable TV
